
Athlon is a gi-focused Jiu-Jitsu academy. Beginner classes (Tuesday and Thursday) cover the fundamentals every student needs – stance, grip fighting, fitting in, takedowns, positions and escapes. All levels classes (Monday and Wednesday) build on that foundation with strategy, sweeps, subs, drilling, and live training. Open training runs Monday through Friday, 5:00-6:00 PM, free to all members.
No experience required to start.
Athlon’s beginner MMA program runs Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Tuesday classes are taught by head instructor Jamie Miller. Thursday classes are taught by Ernest De La Cruz — a former professional MMA fighter with experience in Bellator, Legacy, and Fury. Classes cover the fundamentals of striking, grappling, and how they fit together. No competition required.
Open to all skill levels, including complete beginners.

Training emphasizes proper technique, controlled intensity, and disciplined habits-helping students improve while staying safe and progressing the right way.
